Erin Brings Extensive Industry Leadership
Erin has contributed to and led national research projects focused on improving transportation safety across all modes. This includes contributing as a co-author for AASHTO’s Highway Safety Manual (HSM), 1st Edition and the forthcoming HSM, 2nd Edition. She also serves as a member of TRB’s Standing Committee on Safety Performance and Analysis, in addition to her membership with the WTS San Francisco Chapter. She commits to applying research in order to improve the effectiveness of projects and investments in transportation. To that end, Erin has developed and delivered professional training courses on integrating emerging research into industry practices.
Erin Brings Diverse and Complex Project Experience
Erin’s project experience covers a broad spectrum of project types and geographical locations. Within the last few years, Erin led safety planning efforts of varying sizes that have enabled numerous communities across the state of California to identify, develop, and fund specific projects to improve roadway safety. She has also managed the development of active transportation plans, complete streets improvements, roundabout feasibility studies and design, and complex multimodal corridor and subarea studies. Erin’s experience spans urban, suburban, and rural communities and regularly integrates complex social issues, such as equity, resiliency, and access to resources, into how solutions are developed and implemented.
Erin will work closely with others in San Francisco and the Bay Area to continue expanding the services we bring our clients in the region. She will also serve as a technical resource in support of firmwide initiatives.
Erin Brings a Commitment to Mentoring and Staff Development
Erin’s arrival at Fehr & Peers also means exciting mentorship and training opportunities for our staff. Erin will lead efforts to support project managers, especially those just beginning in management roles, in developing best practices and ensuring quality control. She will also focus on sharing her leadership experiences in growing technical and geographic practice areas, nurturing the growth of others, motivating teams, communicating clearly and compassionately, and working toward a shared vision.
We warmly welcome Erin to our team, and look forward to the contributions she will make and the experience she will bring in our mission to serve and improve communities.
