Why We Do Things Differently

Juergen Fehr and Jack Peers founded Fehr & Peers in 1985.

They set out to create a company that empowered employees to take ownership of their work and to use creativity and innovation to solve new transportation challenges.

Frustrated by the bureaucracy often found in large firms, they built Fehr & Peers on the principles of autonomy and accountability—believing those closest to the challenges should have the freedom to make decisions and take risks. Today, those principles remain at the heart of how we operate.
