Celebrating 40 Years of Moving Communities Forward

Today marks a special milestone for Fehr & Peers—40 years of helping communities move better, safer, and smarter.

In 1985, Juergen Fehr and Jack Peers set out to build a different kind of transportation consulting firm—one that empowered its people and focused on improving communities through innovation and creativity. Forty years later, that mission continues to guide everything we do.

Since then, we’ve worked in thousands of communities, from small towns to major metro areas, across 46 states and a dozen countries. Today, we’re over 400 strong, with 24 offices across the US, united by a vision to transform transportation consulting through trusted partnerships with our clients.

We know we didn’t get here alone. To our clients and partners: thank you for your trust, your vision, and the opportunity to grow together.

Over the last 40 years, the world of transportation has changed dramatically, and the pace of change keeps accelerating. From new technologies to evolving priorities around equity, sustainability, and resilience, we’re energized to solve new challenges with you!

As we celebrate this milestone, we do so with gratitude — and excitement for the road ahead.
