As we grow, we are ready for another motivated and experienced Help Desk Technician to join our Help Desk Support team. The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a challenging and dynamic environment with a passion for helping others by applying technical expertise. This role offers the opportunity to troubleshoot a wide range of IT issues for staff members, from the simple fix of replacing hardware to the complex concept of working with engineers to understand why intricate models aren’t running effectively or efficiently. This unique entry-level position provides exposure to multiple areas of information technology, including virtualization, security, server administration, network administration, and more. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monitoring and tracking of help desk tickets
  • Deploy, manage, and assist in the maintenance and/or repair of IT devices, including phones, laptops, desktops, tablets, handheld devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Demonstrate initiative and maintain the highest degree of professional conduct at all times
  • Seek opportunities to improve knowledge, skills, and performance
  • Provide input for and/or document procedures and best practices
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software
  • Provide excellent IT support to the company, both locally and remotely
  • Take after-hours calls and provide availability for off-hours emergencies

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of IT help desk or desktop support experience
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on a highly effective team
  • Administrator-level knowledge of Windows 10
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365
  • Strong understanding of networked PCs and peripherals in a MS Active Directory environment
  • Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, via email, and by instant message
  • Strong customer service combined with a positive attitude
  • Patience with and empathy for staff as customers
  • Willingness to travel and make regular visits to offices
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle for work-related trips with mileage reimbursement
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
