More About the Role

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a valued member of our Corporate team, working to support office autonomy and minimize bureaucracy by remaining solutions-oriented and customizing our approaches
  • Play an important role on our six-person Corporate Communications team and collaborate with staff members throughout our markets
  • Lead the development of informed digital marketing recommendations and strategies to increase the impact of foundational tools and marketing on specific business goals
  • Manage the team’s editorial calendar and social media channels, including day-to-day shares and logistics for each
  • Work with brand and technical leaders, supporting day-to-day operations and forward-thinking goals by applying knowledge of marketing communications and technology to distill complex concepts into intuitive and relatable campaigns, messaging, and design
  • Delve into understanding the planning and engineering industry, contribute to developing mechanisms for collecting feedback about the Fehr & Peers brand, and provide suggestions as needed for improvement
  • Act as an ambassador of the brand, partnering to provide education on promotion and brand strategy, as well as identifying opportunities for enhancement
  • Serve as a member of our Writing & Editorial Services Team collaborative and learning group, contributing to the advancement of excellence in these areas across the firm
  • Continually share ideas and examples with colleagues
  • Impact and influence the evolution of our brand over time with curiosity and a drive to continuously seek improvement
  • Manage time and workload effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with the encouragement of work/life balance
  • Practice adaptability in work processes and messaging amid the COVID-19 pandemic and as times and needs change

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a communication, marketing, digital technologies, or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience as a Digital Marketing Strategist or similar role
  • Deep understanding of branding and the related, current social and digital landscapes, tools, and best practices
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in market research, SEO, industry analysis, data analytics, corporate strategy, or related areas
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write strategically, concisely, and with a tone matching the communication goals and platform
  • Understanding of the transportation planning and engineering industry, principles, and applications, or the aptitude to pick them up quickly
  • Strong communication capabilities, critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Great attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a dedicated commitment to collaboration, and a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Leadership experience (desirable)
  • Front-end web design experience using WordPress or similar software (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) (desirable)

Ideally, this position will work out of our Walnut Creek, California Corporate location, but we remain flexible should the right candidate be nearer to one of our other Bay Area or Sacramento office locations and willing to travel to the Corporate office once local health orders permit office work to resume, and as Fehr & Peers deems appropriate. Currently, we are working remotely full-time, but plan to resume in-office collaboration through a hybrid working environment.
