Jolene has joined Fehr & Peers in our Orange County office, bringing more than 19 years of experience as a transportation planner and project manager. Her extensive background in local/state/federal projects, plans and research, and all transportation modes, provides her with a unique and holistic planning perspective.
Jolene works closely with clients, private industry, regulatory agencies, communities, and advocacy groups to understand the big picture and facilitate the development of a shared vision for projects. Her experience in port planning, freight/passenger rail planning, traffic calming, environmental analysis, and active transportation contributes to her ability to understand different perspectives.
For half her career, Jolene has worked for and with port authorities and private port users, on both road and rail improvements. From planning to implementation, as well as contributing to state of the practice, Jolene’s experience in port and freight planning includes the Ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Oakland, as well as Texas, Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, and South Carolina.
Jolene has had the opportunity to work for two very different cities – Pasadena, CA and Irvine, CA. In both senior planning position roles, Jolene led a variety of transportation planning efforts, including general and specific plans, bike and pedestrian master plans, light rail and street car planning, neighborhood traffic management, development review and a significant amount of public/community outreach and engagement.
