Icon Design: Great Streets/Noun Project
The Fehr & Peers team evaluated all 15 of the first Great Streets in Los Angeles. For each, we explored a host of metrics related to Mayor Garcetti’s Back to Basics agenda, including safety, mobility, economics, and opinions on quality of life. We assessed each corridor before any projects were built to establish a baseline, and we’ll repeat this analysis after Great Streets investments are made to compare changes over time. Have a look at the pre-project benchmarking reports below.
To understand opinions and perceptions of Great Streets, we completed public life surveys on a sample of the 15 corridors. We have developed a keen understanding of this survey process in our work with LADOT on the People St Evaluation project.
